The Forest Elder

The Trees of the Forest were very excited, anxious even. They were about to be visited by the eldest Tree alive, a Tree so old that no other Tree remembered him as being anything but old.

“This will be so exciting!”, an old Redwood with a crooked nose exclaimed to his friend, the Birch Tree.

“This hasn’t happened in over a hundred years!”, proclaimed an ancient Pine.
